Student Motorsport is delighted to announce the Croft weekend sponsor as Rocked-!T – manufacturers of high-quality motorsport luggage and kit bags to keep your personal race equipment safe and look awesome while doing it.

For the first time in the Challenge, we’re collaborating with a partner to set a one-off challenge for our competing teams. We want teams to experience and develop in all areas of motorsport. This new mini challenge pushes that further. Teams will now be able to flex their media skills and work to a brief.

The Competition

Produce and publish an original and creative social media post to showcase Rocked-!T’s Motorsport Kit Bag during the Croft weekend.

The Winner’s Prize

The winners will receive a Rocked-!T kit bag for their driver and discount on other Rocked-!T products and services.

The Winning team can also access a special partnership workshop with Student Motorsport’s Head of Commercial and Partnerships, Patrick Hathaway.

Entering will support your efforts to also win the Media Award at season-end, so having a go is advised, along with having some fund

Background

Rocked-!T position themselves as specialists in their field and the goto brand for personal Motorsport luggage. Any driver at any level of competition can appreciate the quality and capability of their leading Motorsport kit bag.

With a bit of research teams can uncover the backstory and more about the brand. This can help provide some interesting angle to the post

Rocked-!T Motorsport Kit Bag

The bag that fits it all, Helmet, Suit, Boots, Gloves, HANS, Nomex, all your personal protective equipment in one place. The same high quality construction as our helmet bags, shower proof and rather stylish. Has an internal divider to keep items separate and external pockets to secure smaller items. Comes with both carry handles and a padded shoulder strap.

Guidance and Rules

The task is for students from the team/college to create a social media post that demonstrates the Rocked-!T motorsport kit bag and the brand. The content of the post is completely free. You can take photos, video or write a review, whatever way you think will answer the brief best. You are not limited by social network.

We want you to demonstrate the quality, practicality and usage of the product – who should buy it and why? What does the product do for them? What does it do better?

Consider ‘story’ – people buy from people and like to follow others progress. How can the kit bag affect someone? What can it do for their performance? Think about the team.

A bag is available from Student Motorsport only at Croft and will be made available as soon as it arrives with us. You can request the bag from Challenge co-ordinator JP Latham and you will be given an hour with the bag, so plan ahead and book in early!

Your social post should include the hashtag #SMoChallenge. On Facebook and Instagram you should also include the handle @it_rocked

All entries must be launched on social media by 12pm on Thursday 11th.

You only need to post on one social platform but the adaptability of your post to other platforms may help judging performance.

Once live, please DM or e-mail Student Motorsport with a link to your post along with the names of each student involved.

This competition is only available to Student Motorsport Challenge teams competing at Croft over the 5-7th May.

Your entry should be created by students – no professional or semi-professional help. Equipment support is allowed. Professionals (e.g. drivers) can be featured in the post.

There is no obligation to enter but your contribution may greatly help your Media Award submission at the end of the year. The more participation we have from teams in all areas, the more we can work with partners to create greater benefits.

The post should not negatively affect any brand involved in the competition or the race weekend. Strictly no offensive, provocative material or language.

Judging

Judging will be based on:

  • Quality of the content
  • accuracy of the information
  • creativity/originality

The judging panel will be members from Rocked-IT and Student Motorsport.

Winners will be announced by 12pm on Tuesday 16th May.

Good luck but more importantly, enjoy!
