BRSCC UK FunCup and m3m Europe announces a virtual winter series

Posted by: RPRacing - Posted: December 17, 2020

After the success of  the lockdown virtual series for UK and European Funcup Drivers, I am hosting a Winter Series.

The Funcup car I designed for AC is accurate to the nth degree and was originally intended for me to use on my sim as practice (testing and track days being out of my budget). However, it became a way for us funcup drivers to connect and compete over lockdown.

When racing resumed my Team Axiametrics went onto win the UK Championship – coincidence? Maybe….

Visit my YouTube or Twitch Channels to see highlights of real racing drivers tackle the virtual world. It was sometimes quite messy! Or watch us live over the winter.  https://www.youtube.com/c/phillipsmotorsport

Hi Riley, welcome to the network!

Happy New Year, I hope you had a good one?

Great to see that you are extending your involvement in ESports, we too have been participating in the online fun and games! Looks like you have a good subscription too.

We’ve found it super useful as a ‘way of connecting’ during the lockdown, just as you put it really.

We participate in the Vertex Sports Management Stock Car Cup, have you seen it at all?

PS. We’ve subscribed to your YouTube series!

Hi, thanks for the welcome!

The FunCup E-series is limited to our drivers as its hard to manage more than 30 drivers. Im racing, doing cameras, managing the penalty system, arranging commentators and last night mid Nordschleife I reconnected a driver who’d lost connection! It would be good to scale it up, but Im not sure how….

Yes, Ive seen the Stock Car Cup, Chaz Draycott is a friend who we’ve also worked with. It looks fun.

Not at all, great to have you with us!

You’ve made a great contribution so far, we plan on doing some ‘shoutouts’ and podcasts on content/talking points like this so keep a lookout for opportunities to get more involved!

As for the grid size, I can imagine 30 drivers and the pressure put on you must be quite taxing, but still what a grid!

So you talk about scaling up? I am sure Chaz might be able to point you in the right direction, or we could seek advice from the guys at Vertex for some pointers?
