More real drivers taking part = more exposure = more credibility to eSports. I think what we saw during lockdown and all the real racers getting involved in eSports will add an element of legitimacy to the platform moving forward.

Agreed. Conversely, you need drivers who actually want to be there. We did see quite a few flare-ups over lockdown with drivers complaining about realism, systems, bugs, driving standards. You know, the usual e-sports stuff! 😀

We also saw quite a bit of unsportsmanship and people not taking it seriously because “it’s not real”. See the Formula-E scandal and the Indy 500 feud between Simon Pagenaud and Lando Norris!

Absolutely! Though I guess the argument there is that it creates attention and builds an audience. It’s just not great when it’s poor driving by pros that would never carry out that move out in real-life.
