An amazing intention in the article below from GCK Motorsport, who will aim to compete in the Dakar Rally with Hydrogen power. The fuel range is considered quite superior, so perfect for events like the Dakar. Their aim is to compete in the full 2024 Rally, and sections of the 2023.

In the meantime, they’ll use a Peugeot 3008 DKR base and develop an electric-powered version.

So here’s the question – how many others will, or are already, committing to motorsport hydrogen projects? Share below!

First hydrogen-powered Dakar rally car the ‘future of cross-country rallying’

What a Chassis, Peugeot has done some amazing things with the 3008 winning some impressive titles in the automotive and motorsport industries.

The e-BLAST 1 boasts some impressive figures at 340 hp and 1000Nm of torque!

So, will we see more hydrogen-based cars in Dakar, I’d bet my ‘bottom dollar’ on it…perhaps Audi after their exit from Formula E will move to a hydrogen-powered car in 2022 after their new entry to Dakar with their hybrid in 2021?

Anyone else had any insight into this?
