SMo Challenge – Getting Involved Now

Posted by: JP2020 - Posted: October 8, 2021

We’ve had a few colleges over the last couple of weeks asking questions about the build/conversion process of a ‘donor car’ and what regulations and they have to work to and parts they will have to change…super questions from everyone!

We love questions and discussions…so aside from the fact that as a part of your Challenge entry you have access to a full disassembly and reassembly guide and online support (which contains over 60 modules and 100 lessons featuring 2500 images to guide you through the whole conversion process), it got us thinking why not get your students involved now to find the answers? #teachermode

Here’s an idea for an interesting lesson:

Why not print out the technical regulations (pages 12-23) and have your students go through them to highlight/discuss/present what they think needs to be carried out to get the car to championship specification…..would be a ‘cool’ exercise to carry out?

For example:

Page: 19
Area: Suspension
Regulation Number: 5.8.1
Change Required: Shock change
Parts Introduced: GAZ Shocks (1 way adjustable to all 4 corners)

BRSCC 2021 Regulations: https://bit.ly/3oN18dl

We’ve also included a sneak peeks of the build guides for entrants here!
