While learning fundamental modules in mechanical engineering topics, I undertook undergraduate research at the International Center for Automotive Research and participated in the Formula SAE team. In 2020 I was recognized as the top outstanding senior in my graduating class.

Pursuing my interest in the intersection of electrification and vehicle-driver interactions, my thesis project involves optimal control of dual-axle energy recovery on a Gen-3 Formula E race car.

In the Summer of 2017 I worked as a student intern at Palatov Motorsports, where my primary responsibilities included reverse engineering, designing and fabricating various vehicle components. I helped support their factory and privateer effort at the 2017 Pike's Peak International Hillclimb carrying out testing, setup and maintenance responsibilities, contributing to a 3rd place finish in the Unlimited Class.

I completed 3 rotations as a Co-Op Engineer at Michelin's Greenville R&D facility. Some projects include: - Designing a robot end-effector to pick up and load tyres into delivery trucks. - Analyzing tyre testing data and revising test procedures to improve statistical validity of results. - Developing and validating a custom automated laser tread depth measuring tool. - Designing and implementing various parts and upgrades for tyre testing machines, from concept generation to performance verification.

Work together with drivers spanning 4 continents to develop qualifying and race setups for the Dallara IR-18 Indycar, using MoTeC and MATLAB to generate automated data anlaysis tools. PSM has first place standings in the Lionheart Racing Series, NTT Indycar series, and other top championships, as well as major televised Indy 500 victories.
